did you know that pet cemeteries have virtually zero regulation? In today's episode Michael talks about two dogs from his youth that he loved dearly that were both buried at the Green Mounds Pet Cemetery in Pinellas Park Florida. The people who now own the pet cemetery run the Harley-Davidson business out in front of the property. Because sales of motorcycles have shrunk they have long ago stopped maintaining the cemetery and worse yet they stopped paying taxes on the property. This means that at any time the property to go into foreclosure someone could use the property for something else and dig up all the pets.

Ernesto Durango was born in the small unnamed town in South Florida in July of 1951. After graduating high school at an unnamed school in Miami he took a correspondence course in political science and bartending. His first real job was at the now defunct Tick-Tock Lounge in Clearwater Florida located behind the former Clearwater Sun newspaper. It was then after getting pathetically drunk with the society editor of the paper that Ernesto turned it to journalism as his new career. This career choice had to be put on temporary hold when Ernesto found an opportunity in the import business working for a very shady man who went by the name of Pepe. After spending 3 to 5 years away on what Mr. Durango refers to as a reeducation trip in a federal facility in North Florida he then went full boat out in his pursuit of an outstanding career in broadcast journalism. After getting fired as his job as a board operator for the former Sun Radio Network for coming to work drunk Mr. Durango went to work for competing network and the Ernesto Durango show was launched just one week before the new network was closed down when its owner was arrested for investment fraud. Many years later the Ernesto Durango show began airing on Saturday mornings on the now defunct Accent Radio Network where it became very popular very quick. In those days it was referred to the best four and a half minutes of radio of your week. Now the show is heard almost daily on many unnamed radio stations and perhaps one unnamed podcast. When Mr. Durango is unable to do the show (which strangely happens a lot) the guest host is a guy that he met back at the Tick-Tock in 1970 by the name of Michael Crose.
